[note: I had originally planned for this post to go up the Monday after my girls’  trip to DC for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler…but that was the day of the Boston Marathon. So I blogged about Boston instead. But I still wanted to share these pictures because I had such a great time wandering around DC with Crystal. I forgot I had this in my drafts until today…better late than never I suppose!]

I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking. And most of these were taken with Crystal’s iPhone 5 so the pictures aren’t terrible like they would be with my 4. You can thank Crystal in the comments. 😉IMG 8610

This Sulawesi Pedamaran coffee from Filter is the best cup of coffee I have EVER had.

My second cup of coffee at a different shop, Tryst, which I  sought out for their gluten-free almond cherry muffin. My coffee came with a little animal cracker on top. I loved it – It’s the little things. And the muffin was AWESOME. The coffee was average, but anything would seem average after Filter.

the morning started early sans make-up and in Ellie pants. I LOVE these pants. [Save 20% on Ellie!]

When was your first trip to DC? I went in middle school with my older brother. It was really special to me that he took me on a trip with him because I thought he was so cool. He still is. 🙂

BTW, if you need to laugh, read people’s stories about how they are THAT dog person too. hahaha. i love all you dog people.

    1. just caught up on your blog! lovely posts lady. your words on boston were heartwarming and beautiful, and i can’t wait to hear all about your cleansing experience. mostly though, i just wish i had been in dc with you and crystal 🙂

    2. Looks like you had a great time. I’m leaving for Washington DC with my 5th grade son and his class this coming Wednesday. We live outside Atlanta. This will be my first trip to our DC. I can’t wait. Of course it’s a school trip and every minute of our time there is scheduled so I don’t think I will be able to sneak in a run while I’m there. I hope to run a race there sometime. Best way to see the sights is by running a race. Enjoy your blog too BTW 🙂

    3. Hi Teri! It looks like you had an amazing trip to DC! This is one of my favorite cities to visit. What is the name of the second coffee shop you visited (the one with the GF scone). I would love to check it out the next time I am in DC as I am also GF!
