T- 7 miles; 8:56 pace. Running a super hilly route after 100+ front squats last night did not feel very good. Oops.
W – 4.7 miles with Ali; 8:52 pace. My legs were still dead!
Th – 8×400 repeats on the track, total 8 miles; 8:08 pace (I did the repeats at a 6:00-6:10 pace with 2 minute recovery jog)
I was procrastinating my run like crazy in the morning, but I finally told myself I didn’t have to do speed work just to get myself out the door. And then I made it to the track and did the speedwork. Funny how that happens.
F – 10.3 miles (6.3 miles with Christian/4 miles on the treadmill); 8:25/8:52 pace + 10 min core work + RomWod stretching
- I did my long run on Friday instead of Saturday since I took the day off work and I split it up into two runs. My original plan was just the 6 and then my friend Christian mentioned she was doing a second run to get in her long run in before the weekend. I loved the idea of that and it was kind of nice to break it up, and to have the weekend totally off!

How I’m feeling: Really good! I’m trying to be a lot better about stretching, so I set a timer for 5 minutes after every run to stretch. It’s just a little bit, but it all adds up to make a huge difference.
