Fashion Friday: What I’ve Worn Lately

What I’ve worn lately + an oversized cardigan that actually works on my petite frame!

Happy Friday!! I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend, although to be honest, I’m dreading how cold it’s going to be and dreading how cold it will be for my 18 mile run tomorrow. For some reason, I keep thinking that winter is over and that it’s almost spring, but I’m still wearing sweaters and boots almost daily. I haven’t done an outfit recap lately, but I’m basically living in three outfits:

(1) Jeans + pullover sweater

(2) Leggings + cozy top

(3) Jeans + blouse + cardigan

And I’ve noticed I don’t have much color going on either, so I need to switch that up soon! COME ON SPRING!

What I’ve Worn Lately

J.Crew has had some GREAT sweaters lately and surprisingly they haven’t been itchy. (I did send back this one that was too itchy even though it was so cute!) I’m in love with this marled one in the picture below.

This is another J.Crew find. This lighter color is so cute for spring and I love the higher neckline. I want it in ivory too!

I’ve been living in leggings on the weekend a LOT lately. After my long run, I just do NOT want to put on real clothes. And I tell myself that if I’m wearing leggings, I’ll stretch, foam roll and use my roll revery. So far that hasn’t happened, but it’s a nice thought. 😉

I’ve had this cardigan for almost five years and I swear it gets better with age. Nordstrom still sells it so I’m not the only one who loves it! It’s great with jeans, over a dress or with leggings. I wear it multiple times a week.

I’ve raved about these boots before, but black riding boots are one of the best investments I made last year. They’ve gotten SO much use this winter.

Oh look, more leggings. 🙂 The top is Fabletics! Their stuff has been SO much cuter lately (they had a baaaad phase) and the quality seems to have improved too. They sent me some stuff recently and I’ll share a review once I get some pictures since this original review needs to be updated!

I loooove this J.Crew cardigan. Most oversized cardigans drown me since I’m so petite (5’1″) but this one works. It fits well in the shoulders and isn’t too bulky so I think that helps the proportions feel right.

I finally got a real rain jacket after living in the south for 9+ years and I busted it out last week when it was pouring all day. It was SO nice to not get drenched and not need an umbrella for running in and out of stores. I was shocked by how much I liked it and also mad at myself for not buying one sooner. So maybe I need to get some real rain boots now too…
