Hey guys! Happy Sunday! It’s been an amazingly relaxing weekend over here. I slept in until 8:30 yesterday, after sleeping for TEN HOURS. I intentionally started my run later in the morning (more about that in my workout recap tomorrow), and it was strange to have a low-key morning. Strange, but so nice. After my run, I made lunch, grocery shopped and watched the Masters for a bit with Tommy before we had friends over for dinner. And, of course, I hung out with Maizey.
I also did a post-run mask – I’ve been doing it weekly and it feels so good to clear out my pores after a long run! (Pardon for the deep look into my pores!) I have all three Beautycounter masks, and alternate when I use them depending on what I think my skin needs. Yesterday, I used the Balancing Mask and Brightening Mask.
It’s amazing how much their masks brighten and smooth my skin. In the picture below, which I took shortly after doing the masks, I felt like had just had a facial. (I’m wearing only a lightweight tinted moisturizer, Dew Skin – read my review here. And you can see my full skincare routine here.)
Today, we went to church and worked on our taxes and then I did a bunch of food prep for the week. We’ll watch the Masters this afternoon and I’m debating going to yoga…my favorite instructor isn’t teaching, hence the debate. 😉
Hope you’re having an amazing weekend! And feel free to do a little online shopping while the guys watch the Masters – tons of sales! 😉

My First Month of Using a Paper Planner After a Decade Drowning in Apps. Love live the paper planner.
Loved this article about blogging. The landscape has changed so much over the years that I’ve been blogging (I started my very first blog in 2004!), but I completely resonated with this: “By chasing audience we lose the ability to be ourselves. By writing for everyone we write for no one.”
How to be happy. “The data really suggests that happy people do certain things: they have really tight social ties, they make time for those social ties, they take time to experience gratitude, they’re mindful in the moment. They sleep, they exercise, and they try to make time for themselves. It’s not this deep mystery of human nature.”

Gratitude Comes from Noticing Your Life, Not From Thinking About It – I’ve started incorporating this into my life and there really is so much to be grateful for and so much to appreciate.
When I was in D.C. lobbying for more regulation in the personal care industry, three reporters followed us around for the weekend and wrote articles about what they saw and heard. These are their articles, from Well & Good, Refinery 29 and Fast Company.
