Happy Friday! I’m copying Janetha from Meals & Moves and doing a Flashback Friday post.
Christmas Eve 2008
A few notes about this picture:
1. This was the first Christmas without any family around, the first year we lived in Winston Salem, NC. And it was actually very sweet and fun. I love my family and I’m excited to be with them at Christmas this year but holidays without the fam don’t have to be sad.
2. Look at that smoofy puppy!!!!!! She was 9 weeks old and we’d just gotten her 5 days before this picture. Can’t they stay puppies forever?
3. I kind of miss my long hair.
4. Ummm don’t I look SO young in that picture?? I swear I do.
5. Look at that smoofy puppy AGAIN!! Her littleness and squishyness melt me. Now she is 3 and all grown up big. I swear boxers never really grow up.
What’s your favorite holiday? I love the actual holiday of Valentine’s Day, Halloween costumes/parties (last year was Star Trek! Thanks Courtney!), and Christmas decorations most.

That picture is wonderful! I’ve spent a lot of holidays without out family and while, I like them better when we’re all together, they CAN be un-sad 🙂 I personally adore Christmas the best!
I like them better when we’re all together too! BTW, your gravatar pic is so cool!
that picture is so cute! I love puppies I wish they would just stay that little forever
Christmas for sure. I start baking and slowly decorating November 1st for it… haha
I like the gradual decorating approach so you can start earlier! I’m gonna do that!
You are every bit as gorgeous now as you were then!
I can’t get over how much Maizey looks like Chloe!!! They would have SO MUCH fun together. Chloe is our first boxer and I seriously adore the breed now. She is so playful and fun but also so loveable and sweet!
Here’s my most recent pic of Chloe that’s online 🙂 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150322296092787&set=a.10150280496062787.331901.269219807786&type=3&theater
oh.my.heck. We need to figure out a playdate somehow, someday. Boxers are the BEST and Chloe is beautiful!!
Ahhh puppy!! Make me want another…although I’ve got my hands full with a “grown up” German shepherd. I don’t think they ever really grow up either.
And I like your long hair, but really…I love your hair no matter what.
aw, thanks! 🙂
Have I ever told you I’m terrified of German Shepards? I got bit by one as a child! A police dog actually…
aww check out the little puppy!
my favorite holiday is christmas. actually halloween is cool too.
i love halloween and xmas.
SQUEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. yes you look young!
2. come to utah for the holidays. come on. do it.
3. i love your hair all lengths.
2. I’ll be there at Christmas!!!! for almost a week!
I’m actually a big fan of Thanksgiving. I love getting together with family and having a big meal. And I run in a 5 mile race in the morning so I feel great the whole day. 🙂
I’ve love running races on Thanksgiving but it rarely works out. Usually I go for a solo run though! It does make the whole day better!
She is so sweet! We have two wheaten terriers and they look like big teddy bears!
oh my gosh, i LOVE wheaten terriers! I’m now going to scour your blog for pictures!
Your puppy is adorable! Boxers are precious, even when the puppies turn into dogs. I would have to say my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, mainly because it’s the kickoff to the holiday season…and my favorite 5K race is the Turkey Day Run in Charleston. I always wake up at the crack of dawn, usually do a pretty long warm up, then I run the race and enjoy a few beers with friends at the beer truck. I run that race every year, then shortly after, I go to town on some sweet potato pie! Nom nom nom…
I’m so jealous! that sounds like so much fun!!!
SO cute! I love Thanksgiving… because I love food so much haha, but Halloween is always fun and you can’t beat Christmas 🙂
Amen!
Puppy! So cute. You look great in this picture (as always). I love that hair color 🙂
love your hair….you are still just a gorgeous!
miss you
