A Birthday Bash Weekend in Winston

I can’t believe the weekend is already over. It flew by. Saturday morning I went to CrossFit (I did end up skipping my long run in favor of the WOD but I tacked on a 4 mile run at the end), and then got a loooong overdue mani/pedi (Fiji by Essie). IMG_3566

In the late afternoon, Maizey and I road-tripped up to Winston-Salem for my friend Meg’s birthday party. IMG_3565

It was such a fun night celebrating and spending time with friends. (Why, yes, she is wearing the same top that I am in the above picture. Lilly Pullitzer for Target for the win. She actually did all my Lilly Target shopping at midnight for me because I was travelling when it all came out. THAT is a good friend. And she warned me she was wearing that top so I changed before the party. hehe.) IMG_3574
We had a great dinner spread and hung out on their patio around the fire pit after dinner. IMG_3568

I’m so lucky to have such a great group of friends. And I’m especially grateful these days that they set me up with this guy. (I’m soooo glad they insisted. I think he’s pretty darn great.)IMG_3573

I was planning to post some links and my workout recap but I’m exhausted and it’s getting late so I’ll share that tomorrow! Have a great week!

What a fun weekend!! Love your nails! I used Fiji in the past, but since it’s so light, it was really hard to apply. I have Essie Ballet Slippers now, and it’s a similar color but easier to work with in case you want a DIY color. 🙂
Your friend’s birthday party looked so fun! And I must say that I’m totally jealous that your friends have such good taste in setting you up! I wish mine did! Hahaha!! Your guy is adorable!

haha yeah, I’m pretty lucky that my friends have good taste and knew a good guy for me when they found him!

I have Ballet Slippers – I had totally forgotten about it though! Thanks for the reminder! I need to repaint today. 🙂

Thanks Anne! It’s been on my to-blog list for YEARS to show how I curl my hair! I need to have someone film me and just never think of it! I’ll do my best it get it up soon! And my make-up is super simple – I can do a tutorial on that for sure! 🙂

You are a true friend: driving all the way up here for my party AND swapping outfits for me? Good thing you looked terribly cute in that other top too. Love you!

Hair curling tutorial! I agree w/ the above. Because I’ll never be able to recreate the waves I had this weekend either.
