A Must Read

Really, this should be required in health classes or something. It’s the best book I’ve read on health and nutrition.

A lot of what he explains is stuff I already knew (e.g. eat less processed food, eat local, etc.) but he goes into the explanation of WHY those things are so important. It's well documented and the research is very interesting. I think it's easier to eat the way you are supposed to when you understand why it's so beneficial. A lot of the information is shocking – don't trust the government or big food companies! – but it all makes perfect sense.

That book looks really interesting! I'll have to pick that up. I just recently got the book "Clean Food" by Terry Walters that I'm really looking forward to reading.

I haven't seen that yet. There's a part of me that really wants to, but there's also a part of me that is afraid I'll be so incredibly disgusted. So let me know how it is and maybe I'll go for it!

I don't know if you saw the my Christmas post when I mentioned Clean Food, but there is an amazing quote from "My Mother's Kitchen" in the very beginning. She put my exact thoughts into words!

This book is brilliant…It is pretty much the upgrade to what I already know and so beneficial because like you said it give you more of the why to habits we should form in our lifestyles.
