Fun fact about me: Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday (yes, even above Christmas). I’ve always loved it – even in the most single seasons of my life. Growing up, my parents made Valentine’s Day super special (read about The Valentine Man here), and as an adult, I still love to celebrate and decorate in late January and February!

My plans with Tommy for Valentine’s Day are always low-key — we’ve never gone out for a fancy dinner on February 14, but instead we’ll do a dinner out the weekend before to avoid the crowds or skip doing out entirely and do a date night in. That’s especially our plan this year now that we have a two year old!

One thing that I love to do around Valentine’s Day, no matter what our plans look like on the actual holiday, is decorate! I love festive decorations– especially things like doormats and wreaths, since those make such a big impact without feeling over-the-top. Festive pink and red colors are such a cheerful way to spruce up your home, especially in the dead of winter.

In today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite Valentine’s Day decor that won’t break the bank.

Wreaths

Our heart wreath was a purchase I made last year after discovering the Etsy seller online. I LOVE how unique it is with the dainty “berry” hearts, and the natural looking branches. Unfortunately the quantity is super limited, so there’s only one more available in this style, but she has a bunch of other options that i love just as much. I’ll link some of my favorites (from her shop and other spots!) below.

Tabletop

If you’re hosting the girls for a Galentine’s Day party, you’ll want to grab a few things to make your tabletop festive. Here are some of my favorite finds.

Mantle Decor

I love the idea of decorating the mantle in our living room since it truly anchors the space. I’ve seen some very cute heart garland strands that would be darling! Garland or banners like this would also be really cute tied on the backs of kitchen chairs, above a range on a vent hood (just be careful when you turn the range on), or anywhere that could easily display a banner for a short time.

Pillows

Throw pillows are an easy way to make your living room feel festive! Cotton & Crate has especially adorable ones!

Doormats

I’ve been searching high and low for a Valentine’s Day themed doormat, and I’m REALLY excited about what I’ve found! I bought this one and love it!

I hope you find something fun to decorate with this year!
