Looking for a Beautycounter promo code? There’s an easy way to save 10% on every order AND get free shipping on orders over $100. I shared how in this blog post! And if you’re a first-time Beautycounter customer, there is a Beautycounter coupon + free shipping code for 30% off code for your first order, so don’t miss the details on that.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I LOVE Beautycounter skincare and makeup. Their products are significantly safer than other brands (I love clean beauty!) and my skin looks amazing without using sketchy ingredients. (If you’re not familiar with the brand, read this post for an overview.)
How To Save Money On Beautycounter
Beautycounter takes ingredient selection very seriously since many ingredients in most skincare lines in the U.S. may have links to hormone disruption, cancer and birth defects. I didn’t even have to change a thing in my skincare routine once I got pregnant. And most people start to learn about potential issues with their skincare routine after they get pregnant.
But, one thing I often hear from blog readers is that Beautycounter is expensive.
And yes, it costs more than Cerave and Cetaphil, which is what a lot of people use in their 20s. But remember, Beautycounter is a high-end, high-performing beauty brand. It’s not a drugstore brand. It’s designed to give you results, has active (yet safe) ingredients and is luxurious. Would you say that about Cetaphil? No. Beautycounter is priced more closely to products you’ll find at a department store, but I’ve personally found they last a LOT longer than those brands since you use such a small amount.
But, there are a couple ways to save money when buying Beautycounter, both with and without a promo code. I share that information below as well as tips to get free shipping, free gifts and discounts on sets. And make sure you’re on my newsletter list since I email that group as soon as I know about a promo (and sometimes I run special promos just for that group!).

Beautycounter Promo Code
Here’s the truth: Beautycounter rarely has discount codes. (But I’ll explain how you can save money on Beautycounter without one!) They do free gift with purchase promos 3-5x a year (usually around major holidays). But percentage-off sales with a promo code or discount code usually come just 1-2x a year. That’s it – promo codes come only one to two times a year. But, they DO have a 30% off coupon code for first time customers – drop your email here and I’ll send you the details before you checkout (I’ll also let you know if there are new product launches).
So, if you can wait to place an order until big holidays, you may be able to get a free gift. But, Beautycounter sales, promo codes, and special offers are very rare and at random times so it’s hard to predict. And, consultants don’t know when they’ll come either. Sometimes they’ll tell us 1-2 days ahead of time, but not always.
How to save money without Beautycounter promo codes
While they aren’t in the business of doing regular discounts or coupon codes like some brands (I mean, when was the last time you paid full price at J.Crew Factory?), there is one way to save money on every order: Band of Beauty.
Band of Beauty is like Amazon Prime combined with Nordstrom Rewards. It costs $29 to enroll for a year and then you get free shipping on orders over $100 and you earn 10% product credit on every order to redeem on a future order. The product credit adds up very quickly – I see people redeem $20-$50 credits all the time. Sometimes Band of Beauty members get first dibs to shop sales.
Get a free gift with your order
Pro tip: if you spend $50 in product when you sign up for Band of Beauty membership, not including the $29 Band of Beauty fee, they’ll also send you a free gift. Here’s how to get it:
- Put $50 worth of skincare or beauty products in your cart (my must-haves are below, but it can be anything on the website)
- Then add Band of Beauty in your cart
- You’ll see the free gift appear. Woot! Such a fun perk! (If it’s not in your cart, you haven’t hit the $50 minimum!)
Other ways to save money
Sign up for auto-replenishment
Beautycounter offers an auto-replenishment program on many of their products. By signing up to receive your favorite items automatically, you’ll save you’ll save 5% on your first order and 10% on all subsequent auto-replenishment orders. You can always cancel if you need to, just do so up to 24 hours before your order is set to renew.
Buy sets
If you buy a skincare set, one of their regimens or collections (collections larger sizes of products and include an eye cream) or a set of makeup (Flawless in Five), you’ll save money by buying it as a bundle vs. individually. And this helps avoid another issue — if you’re like I was in the beginning, you’ll keep using your old brand and the new Beautycounter products and then it’ll take longer to get the results like you would with consistent use of the good stuff.
Replace products gradually
If it’s better for your budget, replace things as you run out so you’re not overhauling everything at one time. This also helps you avoid being left with product of another brand that you don’t use.
My Beautycounter favorites
Skincare
They have a few different skincare lines, and I personally use the Countertime line. (Read my review here.) It’s hydrating and helps fight the signs of aging without irritating my sensitive skin. If you’re not sure what products would be best for your skin type, fill out this quick questionnaire and I’ll get back to you with recommendations.
I’m not exaggerating when I say Beautycounter changed my life. I used to hate going to work since I was so ashamed of my skin. I wanted to stay home and wallow in my bad skin alone, which is embarrassing to admit, but true. And now I LOVE MY SKIN. That confidence is worth a LOT. And knowing the products I’m using are better for me long-term is worth even more.
If you need product recommendations, you can see everything I use on this page and I listed my top three must-haves below.
My Skincare Must-Haves:
Cleansing Balm is AMAZING for dry and dull skin! It’s a cleanser (think oil facial cleansers), makeup remover, and an intense moisture overnight mask. You use a very small amount so it lasts FOREVER. (Read my review here.) It’s one of the best skin care products you can buy because it has so many uses!
Overnight Resurfacing Peel – This is one of my ALL TIME favorite skincare products and a Beautycounter best seller. The Counter + Overnight Resurfacing Peel amazed me by how quickly I noticed a difference in my skin’s overall texture after I started using it. My skin is brighter, more even, my fine lines are reduced and my pores are tighter. It’s like a safer retinol and I personally found it more effective. And, it doesn’t irritate skin the way retinol can! Read my full review here.
Countertime Supreme Cream – this is SO incredibly thick and hydrating but a tiny bit goes a long way. I only use a black bean sized amount of product. I LOVE IT for my super dry skin.
If I had to pick only ONE skincare product to start with, I’d go for the Overnight Resurfacing Peel since you could add it to your existing routine.
Makeup Must-Haves
I never considered myself a makeup junkie but I LOVE BEAUTYCOUNTER’S MAKEUP. It’s natural-looking, it blends easily which makes it easy to use and the colors are so flattering. Here’s some of my favorites:
Dew Skin is a lightly tinted moisturizer with SPF 20. This is my face sunscreen that also provides moisture and a bit of color. (Read my review here. It was my gateway Beautycounter product!)
Skin Twin is a more full coverage foundation and the first foundation I’ve ever loved. It’s incredibly natural looking, light weight but still provides coverage. (Read my review here.)
Nectar Blush – It’s basically the same color as the popular Orgasm blush from NARS that I used for years but I find it blends much more easily and lasts longer. I also love the Date shade for something without any shimmer.
Lip Color – My favorite sheer lipstick is Twig, my favorite lipstick is B. Fearless and my favorite gloss is Rosewood. Read my review of all their lip products here.
If I had to pick only ONE makeup product to start with, I would go for the Dew Skin.
You can see the rest of my skincare and makeup routine here.
Hair and Body Must-Haves
My favorite shampoo and conditioner is by Beautycounter. I’ve used it for years and have nothing but great things to say about it. And while I do alternate with a few other brands sometimes (switching shampoos every once in a while is great for your hair), Beautycounter is the “cleanest” of those brands. (This post talks about what ingredients to avoid in your shampoo!)
The Sugarbuff Body Polish in Lemongrass is another one of my favorite Beautycounter products. It’s the best exfoliating scrub I’ve ever tried and also smells amazing.
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen is the best clean sunscreen I’ve ever used. I have it in stick, mist, and lotion form and use all three! Read my full review here.
Safer ingredients aside, my skin has NEVER looked better since I switched to Beautycounter so for me, it’s well worth the cost.
And I hope this post helps you understand the best ways to save money on Beautycounter’s products, with or without a Beautycounter promo code!
Sign up for my Beautycounter newsletter here to learn more about their products and to hear about future promos and giveaways only for my newsletter group. And yes, whenever there is a Beautycounter promo code, I email that group first! And if you’ve never purchased Beautycounter, drop your email here and I’ll send you the 30% off Beautycounter coupon code for new customers + exclusive tips for Beautycounter sales when they do come around.

atDo you have any pictures of your face before Dew Skin and then with Dew Skin only? I’m trying to get a better idea of the amount of coverage. I think I will want a little more than it provides, but the Tint Skin doesn’t have SPF :(. Thanks!
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atI don’t have two side by side – I should that!
But this picture shows without Dew Skin: https://www.instagram.com/p/BkAcmywjdpq/?taken-by=afoodiestaysfit
And this picture is with it: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl6EXKajeIP/?taken-by=afoodiestaysfit (Granted, I had sweat a little bit but it was mostly still on, ha!)
They’re similar lighting so hopefully that helps!
I ALWAYS wear Dew Skin for the SPF and when I want more coverage, I mix in the Tint Skin. It creates a perfect medium level of coverage that still looks natural!

atTerri, I live in Canada and am having difficulty processing my order because the Beautycounter site does not seem to allow for non-US shipping addresses. Does the company not ship internationally? Please tell me it does! 🙂
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atThey DO ship to Canada!! Are you still having problems?? Make sure you are on the Canadian website – https://www.beautycounter.com/en-ca/terilynhutcheon
shoot me an email if you still have problems and I can contact customer support for you! [email protected]

atI figured it out and ordered and can’t wait to receive my products! Thanks Teri!
Molly
atThanks for the info! Which of the collections is considered the most moisturizing for dry skin (I still can’t figure out from the friendly chart, not sure why ;)? Also, about how long does the dew skin last used 1x day?
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atHey Molly! For extra dry skin, go for Countermatch! And if you still need extra hydration after that, you could add in a face oil.
Gosh, I’d say the Dew Skin lasts 3+ months?? Maybe longer? You only use a small amount!

atI have been struggling with zits on my forehead now for a little while thanks to all of the sweating from summer running and my visor … but whenever I have used products on my forehead it either gets super dry OR super oily (quite the conundrum)! Do you think I just need to get some of the face wipes for post workouts?
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atHey Lindsay! I would definitely try the face wipes post-workout. They shouldn’t make your skin super dry or super oily since they’re very balanced and designed for all skin types. Let me know if they help once you try them out! We could look at whole skincare routine too, which may help balance it overall, not just post-workout. Fill out this questionnaire and I can send you some recommendations: https://goo.gl/forms/0PK1jdlUOvdNrixI2
Eilish
atI have very oily skin. What do you recommend for a very pale oily skin person?
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atHi Eilish!
In general, oily skin needs CounterControl but I like to know a little bit more to make the best recommendations!

atHi, I am interested in signing up for BoB but curious about the size of the “gift” you receive. Are they full size products? I can’t find anywhere where is states what the size of the gift you receive is. Is it just a sample size? THanks.
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atHi! They call them deluxe travel sizes! They’re each 15 ml / 0.5 oz.
For reference, the regular size peel is 30 ml / 1 oz ($63) and the regular size mask is 60 ml / 2 oz ($49).

athi! if i ordered through you, would I get free shipping?
