20+ Best Masks for Glowing Skin

I’ll be honest – I’m not the person who loves skincare masks, but I DO love the results and I’m always blown away by how much better my skin looks after using a mask, even ones that only need to stay on for 10 minutes! I love to do a sheet mask before a big event since I find my makeup goes on so smoothly afterwards!

Traditional masks that you spread onto skin as well as sheet masks are a great way to boost your regular skincare routine. (This post has my morning and evening skincare routine details.) But sheet masks can be even more effective since are typically saturated in active ingredients that give an extra boost to your current skincare routine. Additionally, since they sit on top of your skin for an extended amount of time, the ingredients are able to absorb much better into the skin. It’s the combination of moisture and occlusion from sheet masks that creates the perfect environment for your skin to absorb the ingredients.

Of course, like a facial, most of the benefits of a sheet mask are temporary, but there are always times when we need a boost to make sure our skin glows for an event, recovers after an event, or if our skin is inflamed or reactive.  The best part of a sheet mask compared to a facial? The price! And not only the price, but there are tons of variations on the market. You can find eye masks, lip masks and more, on top of your typical sheet face mask.

20+ Best Masks for Glowing Skin

There are plenty of masks on the market that can give your skin a naturally youthful glow. So in today’s post, I’m rounding up the best face masks on the market for glowing skin. Some I’ve used, others have rave reviews that I’ve read about. I’ll talk about sheet masks first, and then dive into my favorite non-sheet masks afterwards. If you have recommendations, leave a comment below!

Best Masks for Glowing Skin

1. SkinCeuticals Biocellulose Restorative Masque

Anything by SkinCeuticals is worthy of a splurge. SkinCeuticals is medical grade skincare with a medical grade skincare price tag, but it’s truly effective. They make all sorts of products, but this mask is a great way to get a skincare boost quickly.

This Biocellulose Restorative Mask is a healing face mask for damaged or sensitive skin. The mask is sterilized, and it contains bio-fibers infused with heat-reducing water to cool and soothe irritation and redness. The design of the masks actually mimics the skin’s natural barrier, and it provides instant comfort and relief while facilitating the recovery process. It’s gentle and nourishing.

This is a great option if you’re looking for some relief for sun-damaged skin or skin that’s suffering from redness or irritation. This mask comes in a pack of 6 for $124.

2. Luzern Laboratories LESSENTIALS Bio Cellulose Sculpting Masque

Luzern is another luxurious, medical grade skincare brand that has a sheet mask. This mask has raving reviews, all mentioning how full and firm their skin looked after using it.

The LESSENTIALS Bio Cellulose Sculpting Masque is made of biocellulose material that adheres to the contours of the face like a second breathable skin, and it delivers moisture and anti-aging actives to restore the skin to a more plumper, more hydrated and vital look. It gives your skin a cooling, hydrated boost. This mask contains a postbiotic complex, hyaluronic acid, 3-0 ethyl ascorbic acid, squalane, and apple stem cells, which all provide major hydration and firming. This hydrating mask is the one I really want to try next, but it’s not cheap at $150 for 5 sheets!

3. Avene Soothing Sheet Mask

Avene skincare is amazing for sensitive, irritated skin. In fact, a local plastic surgeon’s office in Winston-Salem used to give Avene sets to clients after laser treatments before they developed their own line. Hannah, my assistant, had a C02 laser resurfacing treatment done at their office, and used Avene skincare while her skin recovered for two weeks. It’s extremely soothing and hydrating, which is important when your skin barrier is compromised.

All that to say, the Avene Soothing Sheet Mask is perfect for the same reasons. It’s alcohol- and fragrance-free, so non irritating, and it helps sooth and calm irritated skin. If you’re dealing with sun burn, slight irritation, or if you’re post-procedure, this mask is a great option for soothing. It’s also MUCH more affordable than the two masks above. You get 5 masks for $42 in this pack.

4. Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ Concentrated Treatment Sheet Mask

Perricone MD is a a holistic, skincare and wellness brand, with skincare designed to promote the most visible signs of healthy-looking skin. They use antioxidants and nutrients that our bodies naturally create on their own to create more effective skincare products.

The Cold Plasma Plus+ Concentrated Treatment Sheet Mask contains vitamin C ester, copper tripeptide, and phospholipids, which work together to reduce dullness, uneven texture, uneven tone, discoloration, and loss of firmness and immediately leaves your skin feeling renewed and rejuvenated. It’s fragrance-free, which I love. One mask is $19, so it’s definitely on the pricier side, but the reviews make it sound worth it!

5. Joanna Vargas Euphoria Face Mask

Joanna Vargas is esthetician sought after by celebrities because of her facials. People from all over travel to her NYC and LA salons for her services. She created a skincare brand that’s made with all natural ingredients to help promote glowing skin.

The Euphoria Face Mask from Joanna Vargas is perfect for dry, dehydrated, or even post-procedure skin. The mask includes soothing chamomile extract and allantoin which promote faster skin healing. It also includes panthenol B5 which hydrates and fortifies your skin to give you a smoother competition.

This mask is pricey, at $75 for a set of 5 masks.

6. Dr. Jart+ Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution™

Dr. Jart+ has a lot of sheet masks available, but the Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution is perfect for acne prone skin. It soothes redness and inflammation, making acne appear much less prominent and inflamed. It contains glutathione and niacinamide. Which both contain antioxidants and brightening ingredients. It also contains salicylic acid and tea tree oil which help reduce oil that clogs pores. If you have sensitive, dry skin, this is not the mask for you. However, if you have oily, acne-prone skin, this may be a great quick fix for a pesky breakout.

Another perk of this mask is the $9 price tag!

7. SK-II Pitera Facial Treatment Mask

The Pitera Facial Treatment Mask is crafted with a healthy dose of Pitera, which includes a blend of vitamins, amino acids and minerals, this luxurious face mask works to tackle large pores, oiliness and uneven skin tone. It’s super hydrating and helps refine the texture of your skin. These masks are known for containing a ton of serum, so even after you’ve removed the mask, there’s lots of serum left over to pat into your skin.

Listen to this glowing review: “Best sheet mask you will ever buy! I have extremely sensitive skin and have never reacted or broken out from this product. The limited, high quality ingredients are also all non reactive and truly help to hydrate. There is SO MUCH serum on these masks. Your face feels hydrated after the serum dries though I do recommend wiping your face with a damp cloth before bed or in the AM to remove some of the dried residue that doesn’t sink all the way in. Moisturize well after the mask and your skin will glow for days!”

Like some of the other masks I’ve mentioned in this post, it’s pricey at $95 for 6 masks. But in my skincare experience, high quality skincare is almost always worth the price.

8. Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask

You may have heard of Tatcha because of their famous Kissu Lip Mask that many beauty bloggers swear by. The Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask is made to help plump and firm the skin. It’s incredibly hydrating (boosts skin’s moisture content by up to 200% in 15 minutes) and the mask itself is derived from coconut.  It’s very pricey at $25 per mask, or $95 for 4.

9. Shiseido Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask

The Shideido Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask is made with hydroxyproline, a high-technology amino acid that helps improve the appearance of firmness and hydroxyproline, a high-technology amino acid that helps improve the appearance of firmness of your skin. This mask also helps improve wrinkles, dryness and dullness. This is $70 for 8 masks (4 upper and 4 lower skin areas).

10. Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

The Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Masks are made with a highly concentrated retinol formula, the best anti-aging ingredient on the market. These masks reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after just one use, and they can also be used around the corners of your mouth. You get 12 sets in each box for $70. This set is on my wishlist!

11. GlamGlow BUBBLESHEET™ Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask

This Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask by GlamGlow is similar to a foaming face wash. To use it, you apply the mask to damp skin for only 3 minutes. Once it’s on your skin, it will bubble up to help oxygenate your skin. The black bamboo charcoal sheet is infused with a microbubbling cleanser, featuring Green Tea Teaoxi technology and the essential amino acid l-arginine for radiant skin. This mask is less expensive than many of the masks included in this post. You can find it at Sephora for $9.

12. Soon Skincare Micro-Hole Hydrogel Collagen Face Mask

Soon Skincare is Korean skincare blended with clean, clinical-grade ingredients and the best of Korean technology. It’s taking the beauty world by storm, so if this is the first you’re hearing of it, it won’t the the last. Soon’s Micro-Hole Hydrogel Collagen Face Mask boosts collagen production, repairs and calms the skin with their micro-hole hydrogel collagen mask. It’s made with marine collagen to strengthen and deeply hydrate, and rose extract to soothe and calm. One mask is $15, so it’s cheaper than some others on this list!

13. Farmacy’s Coconut Gel Sheet Mask

Farmacy’s Coconut Gel Sheet Mask is made with coconut water, hyaluronic acid, and cucumber extract. Hyaluronic acid can hold 1,000 times its weight in water, so this mask provides major hydration. The cucumber extract helps calm the skin, and the coconut water is hydrating. The best part about this mask? It’s only $6 a pop.

14. Patchology FlashMasque Facial Sheets

This FashMasque from Patchology is perfect for skin that needs a quick “drink”. It’s super hydrating, and it works in 5 minutes, versus other masks that take longer. The hyaluronic acid draws moisture from the air to hydrate your skin, and vitamin B5 improves elasticity and smoothness. This mask is pretty affordable at $30 for a pack of 4.

15. By Terry Baume De Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask

The Baume De Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask is designed to moisturize a dry, tight complexion. It’s full of  rose hip oil (which is especially hydrating), rose damascena, black rose and vitamin E. It is ultra hydrating and leaves your skin plump and smooth.  This face mask is $18 per sheet.

16. Lancome Renergie Lift Multi Action Ultra Sheet Mask

Renergie Lift Multi Action Ultra Sheet Mask is “a face moisturizer meets a sheet mask in-one”. It’s coated with 20-grams of Rénergie’s Ultra face cream per mask. It contains a higher concentration of Linseed extract than one full jar of Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Cream, leaving skin feeling hydrated, firmer and looking more radiant. This mask is great for all skin types. For 4 masks, you’ll pay $68.

17. 111SKIN Y Theorem Bio Cellulose Facial Mask

Designed to soothe, support and strengthen stressed skin, this 111SKIN Y Theorem Bio Cellulose Facial Mask is infused with ingredients that hydrate, protect and perfect for a truly calm complexion. The bio-cellulose make up of this mask was initially used to treat burn victims, and in this masks, acts as a second skin that encourages your skin to absorb the ingredients. This mask is incredibly pricey at $32 per mask.

18. PMD Recovery Collagen Infusing Facial Mask

These Recovery Collagen Infusing Facial Masks are formulated to hydrate and soothe the skin while also minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. The mask helps your skin create a protective barrier which allows the ingredients to soak in and calm any irritation. This mask is especially useful after an at-home microdermabrasion session. These masks are affordable at $30 for a set of 5.

19. FOREO UFO Activated Masks – Call It a Night

This FOREO UFO Activated Mask contains ginseng and olive oil, both which nourish the skin to give you a rested complexion.  Ginseng works to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and help firm and tighten facial features, and olive oil penetrates deep into the skin to provide a long-lasting shield of moisture that keeps skin nourished all night long. This masks works well with the UFO Mini 2 Device for an Accelerated Mask Treatment device, but is not designed to be used without the device.

20. Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox Hydra-Gel Eye Patches

If you’re looking for a high quality eye masks after a long travel day, a night out, or maybe after a sleepless night with a newborn, these Cucumber De-Tox Hydra-Gel Eye Patches are perfect. They’re made with cucumber extract, aloe vera and chamomile, allantoin, arnica, hyaluronic acid & glycerin, hydrolyzed collagen, AND caffeine. These ingredients help calm, soothe, and hydrate the skin, while also hydrating in a way that helps your eyes retain the moisture so you look more awake. Anything with a little caffeine in it will also help tone and condition the appearance of your skin while reducing puffiness.

These would make an AMAZING gift for a first time mama! You get 60 patches in this set for $55, so you’ll be set for a while!

21. Skin Gym Reusable Face Mask

This is super cool. The Skin Gym Reusable Face Mask is designed to be used with your current skincare routine. It goes on top of your face just like a traditional sheet mask, but there are no serums on it. Like I mentioned above, sheet masks are great because they cause the serums on the mask (or in this case, the skincare you’ve already applied) to absorb into the skin best, so this reusable mask is a great way to get the intense hydration of a mask, but with your own skincare. If you have a jade roller or gua sha, those tools are great accessories for this mask.

22. K-Beauty Real Natural Sheet Mask

I just ordered this mask from Amazon because it’s EWG verified! It’s super affordable at $9.99 for a pack of 5 masks. The mask uses a upermarine complex formulated from purifying and nourishing sea elements which are super moisturizing.

Bonus: Non-Sheet Masks I Love For Glowing Skin

While sheet masks do have their place, I am a HUGE fan non-sheet masks (clay masks or gel masks) too. These are the types of masks that are messy, and require just a little work to apply, but are always worth the effort when I can make them happen.

Beautycounter Reflect Effect AHA Mask

The Beautycounter Reflect Effect AHA Mask is one of the best masks I have EVER used in my life. I typically hate applying masks for the reasons I listed above, but this one is so great that I force myself to do it at least once a week. I have a full review of this mask with tons of details here, but in short, it has physical AND chemical exfoliators in it which help remove dead skin cells and  increase cell turnover to make your complexion bright. AND it also contains hydrating ingredients so you aren’t stripping your skin either. It’s easy to remove with water (it’s not a peel-off mask or anything). Just wash off with water and help remove it by gently rubbing in circular motions. I’ve been using it once a week religiously, as part of my skincare routine, and my skin looks SO much brighter and my skin texture is so much smoother. Beautycounter Counter+ Charcoal Facial Mask

Another Beautycounter favorite. Heads up– this one is MESSY! While it does require some cleanup afterwards, this charcoal mask is AMAZING for unclogging pores and tackling breakouts. If I’ve been running all week outside in hot, humid weather, I love using the Beautycounter Counter+ Charcoal Facial Mask at the end of the week to really detox my skin, since sweat, dirt, and oil tend to clog up my pores. If you’re prone to oily skin or breakouts, this is a great weekly addition to your current skincare routine as it removes excess oil and gives your skin a deep clean. Make sure to follow it up with a light moisturizer so that your skin doesn’t dry out. I like to use this right before the shower for the easiest removal to just rinse it off in there.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

This Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask is another great option when your skin needs a full pick-me-up. It’s best for blocked or clogged pores, or dull/rough skin. It’s more affordable than the Beautycounter AHA mask, and the results are similar (but I still think Beautycounter’s is better).

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ AHA + BHA Mask

And yet ANOTHER great mask for clogged pores and dull skin! I haven’t personally tried Drunk Elephant’s skincare yet, but I keep hearing good things. This T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ AHA + BHA Mask contains both AHA and BHA, which means water and chemical exfoliants. When you purchase the mask from Sephora, you also get a mini Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, which is to be used directly after the mask. This helps restore hydration since the mask is for exfoliation.

SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Mask

This SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Mask is a non-drying decongestant face mask for all skin types. It’s the perfect option for you if the Beautycounter Charcoal Mask is too drying. I love that this mask contains fruit extracts (specially malic, lactic, yartaric, citric, and glycolic acids which gently exfoliate dead skin cells) and aloe and chamomile to calm and soothe the skin. This mask is great for combination skin since it helps reduce excess oil, but doesn’t leave your skin over-dry.
