Good morning and happy Friday! It’s been a bit of a chaotic week for me with some work travels, and I’m very happy to be back home. Blogging has taken a lower priority because of the chaos, and I hate to come back to the blog and the first thing I do is ask for a favor…but could I ask you for a favor? 🙂
I entered my Pineapple Salsa Crock Pot Chicken the Split-the-Pot Recipe Contest on SparkRecipes.com and found out this morning that my recipe in the top 25% with the most votes. If my favorite slow cooker recipe wins, I get to split $10,000 with a hunger-relief charity in my community. (I’m hoping they’ll let me select Meals on Wheels with Senior Services, which takes food to the elderly, if I win.) Your vote can help me fight hunger! Please vote for my recipe! (You don’t have to create an account.)
Click here to vote. Follow the link and below the picture on that page is a yellow box that says “Vote for this recipe.'” There are only 3 days left to vote!
Thank you all!! <3

atOf course! I volunteered with Meals on Wheels in the past and I just loved meeting the folks on my route.. I’d often find myself sitting in their living rooms and just talking about life. Great organization and so sweet of you to choose them! (If you are a fan of helping the elderly, I’d also suggest checking out Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime – its one of my favorite charities).
Good luck and ummm, YUM!

atThanks Maria! That’s cool you volunteered for Meals on Wheels. And thanks for the tip on Wish of a Lifetime – I’ll check it out.

atThe blogging world is quite new to me but since coming across your blog I have frequented it constantly for updates, recipes, and fitness ideas. This is my first comment on any blog but I wanted to wish you luck (I have voted for you!) – great charity which could definitely use the support!
