Friday Favorites

Happy almost weekend! Thank you SO much for your sweet, kind (and some hilarious!) comments on my story about how Tommy and I met. And thank you all for sharing how you met your significant others!!! I have absolutely loved reading all your stories! I love love! If you haven’t read the comments, go read them. So fun!

Here are just a few things I’m loving lately! And I’ll post again little bit later today with some fashion pictures!

Favorite Blog: Running on Veggies. She has the BEST recipes!

Favorite freebie: Weekend Recovery kit from Project Juice. I’ve been having some crazy bloating issues – like I’ll look 6 months pregnant after eating some meals. So weird. I’m not sure what’s going on – I haven’t been able to identify a pattern. I don’t have stomach pain or anything just wicked bloating, which is super annoying. I’m hoping these juices will help if I flood my system with good nutrients and probiotics! SAM_1916

I’ve had the D-Tox and Tummy Tonic so far and both were soooo good. I’ll let you know how the rest are! I’m particularly intrigued by the Black Magic which contains charcoal.SAM_1920

Favorite snack: Ants on a log. I’ve made this after work almost every night. This will forever be one of the best snacks. Tahini makes this a little difficult to eat because it’s so runny. I also just ate my last tahini energy ball. Gotta make more!

Favorite new app: White Noise. This was a Starbucks freebie app and I love it! I used to use the sleep monitoring and background noise tools with Sleep Cycle, but I don’t keep my phone right by my bed anymore (you’re supposed to put your phone on your mattress for Sleep Cycle), so this simpler white noise app is perfect. I can’t sleep without the ocean waves.

    Ohh I’m interested in the project juices! Those sound cool. Sometimes I get really bloated if I eat a lot of raw veggies (specifically kale!) which sucks because I love ’em! I hope the juices help!

      Raw veggies does it to me too, which I hate since I also love kale salads! I’ve tried backing off but it’s still happening. :/ I didn’t have any veggies at dinner last night. Surely it couldn’t have been the french fries I ate. 😉 ha!

    I get wicked bloating, too – ugh.

      Ugh, you do too? Have you found any culprits or solutions??

      I got them for free (yay!) but I would totally spend my own money on them. So good!!

    Bloating sucks. Hope you feel better soon! Grains definitely do it to me… nothing like a few slices of pizza to make me look nice and pregnant haha.

    I definitely bloat after dairy and I have noticed some bloat after grains, but the one that was most shocking to me was mixing fruit with other foods. The sugar content in the fruit starts to ferment in my tummy and i get soooo gassy. I do best with fruit on an empty stomach.
