Arctic ZeroBefore I figured out I didn’t tolerate diary well, I ate a LOT of Ben & Jerry’s. I loooove that stuff. However, one little pint packs a serious calorie punch. (And it wrecked my gut.) The premise behind Arctic Zero is that you can eat the whole thing (which really isn’t too crazy in my book) and it’s only 300 calories, plus it’s lactose free. I usually eat about 1/2 pint at a time and for only 150 calories, that’s not bad at all. I’ve bought this before and thought it tasted like…science. So when Arctic Zero offered to send me some freebies, I wasn’t really interested and then I read on their website that the trick is to let it soften for about 10 minutes before eating. So, I took the freebies, let the frozen dessert soften, and HOLY MOLY IT’S DELICIOUS. Super creamy.

Trader Joe’s Harvest Blend Herbal Tea. I bought this after Meg recommended it, and I love it! It’s a bit sweet for me so I double the water I steep it in (a very large travel mug instead of a normal coffee cup) and it’s perfect.

Speaking of travel mugs, I love this EcoOne travel coffee mug that Tommy’s mom gave me. It’s huge, completely dishwasher safe, has a seal to prevent spills, and doesn’t burn my hands. (I love the $2 travel mugs at Starbucks but they don’t protect from heat at all.) I used one of hers once when visiting and loved it (she has a few since use loves them too), and I’m so happy to have my own nice. (SO nice of her!) I think she got it at CVS but looks like Amazon has the same thing.

Single serve Justin’s peanut butter cups. I love these things; although, I take a little offense because I think their 2-pack is also a single serve. 😉 The reason I like these is they’re a little bit thinner and I swear the ratio of peanut butter to chocolate is higher. And more PB is a good thing. 🙂 The other good thing about these is that they’re individually wrapped; if you wanted to be the nicest person in the neighborhood, you could give them out for Halloween. But don’t be ridiculous and think that I’m giving these out – I’m not sharing mine with strangers.

If you haven’t tried Justin’s peanut butter cups, don’t do anything else until you’ve bought some. Go. Go now. You back? okay, let’s continue. I’m dying to try Justin’s Snack Packs that have almond butter or chocolate hazelnut butter with gluten-free pretzels, but I can’t find them around me! 🙁

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Coffee. I bought this last year and totally forgot about it until someone asked me on Instagram if I had tried it. I went to Trader Joe’s the next day and bought it. I will probably buy a few more this weekend just to stock up since they only carry it in the fall.

Happy almost weekend! Any fun plans? I have a hair appointment tomorrow (nothing big planned – just trying to get it healthy again) and getting my life organized before my sister-in-law visits next week from Utah. yay!

So many goodies! I have to agree about needing something else other than coconut milk ice cream. I wish the stores around my town had more flavors of Arctic Zero, especially the “chunky” varieties. Have you heard of cashew milk ice cream (from So Delicious) or Steve’s Ice Cream, in the non-dairy flavors? I’d highly recommend those! My weekend = relaxing. I never used to need this much downtime but I can’t complain about giving myself time to recharge over the weekend!

I may have to give AZ another try. I too am a super ice cream fan, but love the real stuff – and was just told I need to cut wayyy back on dairy due to stomach irritation. I thought AZ tasted very science-y as well, but perhaps the new flavors will be better and if I try the softening trick, who knows? One question – is the cookie dough GF? I love the So Delicious GF cookie dough made with coconut milk, but that’s just as rich as ice cream 🙂

    I love that tea!!
If only Trader Joe’s would come north of the border so I could get my fix again…maybe someday!
Also, I am totally intrigued by that ice cream.

Arctic Zero is great!! I recommended it to my diabetic aunt a while back, and she loves it, too! I also love those Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups, and you’re right… they do seem to have more peanut butter in them. Sooo good! I had to laugh about you not wanting to share them with strangers for Halloween. I can’t blame you!! 😉 Enjoy your weekend!

Do you dish out what you’re eating and then let it sit out for 10 min, or just let the whole pint sit out? And I love the snickerdoodle cashew milk ice cream too!
