Friday Favorites

Hey guys! I had this all ready to go yesterday and then forgot to hit publish! Whoops! So you’re getting a Friday Favorites on a Saturday. 🙂 If you’re revisiting my blog after getting my email yesterday, THANK YOU!!! If you’re a regular here and didn’t get the email, be sure to share your email address in the form to the right so you don’t miss out. I’m so glad you’re all here – readers are what makes blogging fun! Alright, let’s get to some goodies!

Quest Bars

I am finally seeing the beauty of these things. I had previously only tried one – the pumpkin flavor – and it was TERRIBLE (and this is coming from a person who loves all things pumpkin). But after hearing from a few friends that they love Quest Bars, I gave them another shot, and I’m sold. Awesome stats for a protein bar too – tons of protein & fiber! They’re pricey little numbers though. $2.50 at Whole Foods. I think they may be cheaper at Trader Joe’s though. Amazon also sells them; they come to $2.33 a pop if you buy a pack of 12.

Super Seedz

These are the BEST pumpkin seeds ever. I didn’t know pumpkin seeds could be so amazing. I was wrong. They’re light and crispy and slightly sweet. I’ve tried a few flavors and I like them all, but these are a must-buy. Amazon carries them – woot!

Fabletics Tristan Tank 2

This is my new favorite workout top. You can’t really see it in this picture, but it has sheer stripes. Super cute, and the cut is nice and flowy (i.e. flattering). I like it for running and CrossFit, but it’d be too loose for yoga. (If you’re new to Fabletics, here’s my post on how it works.)

Jack Black Lip Balm

I got this with some Sephora freebies, and it’s seriously so good! This will definitely replace my previous go-to lip balm since the price point is WAY better. The Jack Black lip balm is only $7.50 on Amazon – I was expecting it to be like $20. The natural mint is a nice little breath freshener too.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Cream

This is why I went into Sephora in the first place – I needed a new foundation or tinted moisturizer since the Tarte stuff I had was way too drying on me. (If you have oily skin though, it’d probably be great. I LOVED the way it looked!) Anyway, I had used Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in the past and liked it, but didn’t love it. I told the clerk that and she said I’d love this Bare Minerals stuff. She was right – I. Am. Obsessed. It makes my skin look flawless but natural and is super hydrating. I got the 05 Natural shade.

Bare Minerals Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

I put it on the back of my hand and then dab it on and blend with my BeautyBlender. Actually, this is another must-have in your make-up bag! I held out for years because it’s expensive, but now I love it and use it everyday.

BeautyBlender

(Btw, if you’re local, the folks at the Winston-Salem Sephora in the mall are SUPER great, but don’t go there until after the holidays. All dreams die at Hanes Mall this time of year. And you’ll probably die sitting in traffic too.)

Okay, that’s all I’ve got for you! I’m about to take Maizey out on a walk (holy crap, I’m scared of the cold) and then either run or go to CrossFit! Have a great day!

Oh, quick note – the next post I’ll be writing is my final gift guide. This time, the stocking stuffer edition. And all things will be items you can find at your grocery store or with Amazon prime, because ain’t nobody got time this time of year to hunt all over town for things.

Okay, bye for real now! xo

I LOVE Quest Bars – I eat one every single day. I like the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor the most. I buy mine off of iherb.com and have found them to be the cheapest there.

I love my Beauty Blender and have been obsessed ever since trying it a couple years ago. I’ve also used the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in the past, but currently use Bobbi Brown’s. It’s pretty good, but I’m kind of wanting to try something different, so after I use up what I have, I may stop by Sephora and get some recommendations. Glad to know the Bare Minerals one is great!

I switched from Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer to Complexion Rescue because of the price difference – also am happy with the complexion rescue and also apply it with a beauty blender! I still need some concealer, but am happy with the formula.

I love that Jack Black lip balm! I’ve only tried the grapefruit & ginger kind- will have to try the mint one soon! I like their other products too – I’ve gifted the heavy duty hand cream and shaving cream both last year and this year for my dad and boyfriend.
