Hey friends! I’m turning my blog over to Anna from Curious & Curiouser. She’s a good IRL friend, a fellow Pure Barre addict, and she was college besties at Samford University with one of my high school friends from Utah, but I didn’t meet Anna until I lived in Winston-Salem. Small world, right? She has great taste in fashion, pop culture, everything. So I feel quite confident in letting her do the FridayFavorites post! 🙂
Hi, lovely readers of A Foodie Stays Fit!
I was thrilled when Teri asked me to write a guest post on her blog while she takes a little blogging break, and thought I’d use the opportunity to share an all-over-the-place assortment of things I’ve been loving lately:
- Activewear is all the rage these days, and I’m so very okay with it. (Seriously, though – it feels like new options are popping up almost weekly, often as sub-brands of existing lines. Urban Outfitters just launched one, and I’ve been liking Fab’s new-ish activewear subscription service, Fabletics.). I’m a Pure Barre addict, and so I’m always on the hunt for some new looks to add to my workout wardrobe. Despite the fact that Free People has gotten lots of flack from the dancing community recently regarding their video promoting their ballet line, I LOVE the fun, feminine pieces that make up their new Movement line, especially these leggings and this tank.
- My husband and I are in the process of buying a new house (!!!), so I’ve been spending lots of time dreaming about interior décor. Pinterest is, of course, a go-to for those kinds of things, but I’ve also been enjoying Houzz to get ideas for things like turning an extra bedroom into a closet (obviously, I’m super pumped about this option) and ways to make our outdoor space awesome.
- Next up: This one is for those of you who are Flight of the Conchords fans. First of all, you have excellent taste. Second, have you heard of Short Poppies, the series that Rhys Darby (who played Murray on Conchords) wrote and stars in and Jemaine directed? It’s all available on Netflix, and it’s pretty great. Quick summary: Darby (it’s so hard not to call him “Murray”) plays a different character in all seven episodes, portraying different (yet equally quirky) residents of a New Zealand town who are all being profiled for a documentary by journalist David Farrier. Enjoy, and you’re welcome.
- If you have a trip planned for the summer, let’s hope you booked a Delta flight so you’ll have the opportunity to watch one of their awesome in-flight safety videos. These have been around for a few months now, but I think they’re still worth sharing. If you haven’t viewed them from Seat 23B, check them out here.
See? I warned you that this would be random.
Thanks for letting me stop by, Teri!
