Happy Friday!! Yay for the weekend! I started my morning with a 5 mile run with Anna (followed by a 1.25 mile run with Maizey). Anna and I went to Pure Barre yesterday morning and then got pedicures last night. I have to cram in as much time with her before she moves next month. 🙁 Maizey was being a bit dramatic after our run. SO TIRED. Poor thing is out of running shape.
After my run, I came home and made a smoothie. This baby was packed with 25 grams of fiber! (Other approx. nutition stats: 470 calories, 9 grams fat, 19 grams protein). It was perfect for refueling after the long run. If you want something with fewer calories you could cut back on the protein or flax, but they both have tons of fiber, and fiber is my friend.
Fiber Packed Blueberry Banana Kale Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 2/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 6 small stalks kale
- 2 T ground flax seeds
- 1 T maca powder
- 4 T Trade Joe’s vanilla hemp powder
When making this I had a minor panic attack when I thought my Vitamix was broken, but it just wasn’t plugged in all the way. PHEW.

Love this Limitless Crew Pullover Athleta! I’m kind of obsessed with tops that are sheer, have cut outs or open backs. And I felt like at $54, it was pretty affordable compared to most other pullovers I’ve seen lately.

This CRACKED ME UP. This is a write-up on Runner’s World for the Napa Wine Country Marathon. And the girl in the photo is wearing a t-shirt from BYU (my alma mater). hahaha. Uhhhh either she isn’t the poster child for this race, or they just had a poor stock photo selection.
