Hi friends! Happy weekend! I’m so excited about my day ahead – I’m heading out for a run soon (although I’m really tempted to do Crossfit instead – this workout sounds awesome), planning to get a mani/pedi afterwards (it’s beyond necessary) and then I get to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthday tonight! And hopefully I’ll fit in some housework among all that.
I haven’t done a Friday Favorites in a while, but I’ve been keeping a list of things I want to share with you that I’m loving lately. And since I have time to blog this morning, I’m posting it today. I’m a rebel. I guess I could call it Saturday…um…Saturday Stuff. No, that’s terrible. Moving on.
Fabletics Oula Tank
I know I’ve blogged about the Oula tank before but seriously, I’m obsessed. I now have it in three colors and I kind of refuse to work out in anything else. It has the perfect amount of stretch without being too fitted. And it comes in a million neon colors, and you know how I feel about neon. If you don’t, I’ll tell you now – I LOVE NEON.
Fabletics Tuscany Tee
Fabletics sent me this tee and I love it. It’s oversized and perfect for throwing on after a workout. It’s a little long, but I am a little short (5’1”). Pardon the slightly blurry pic – I was dealing with low lighting.
I usually toss my super-sweaty Oula Tank in my gym bag when I’m done working out, and throw the Tuscany Tee on over my sports bra. I hate being in wet workout clothes and this is a nice solution for running post-gym errands. I love the mesh detailing!
If you’re new to Fabletics, here’s my post about how it works, and if you sign up, I’d love it if you used my referral link!
Melt Your Heart Tuna Melt
This tuna salad sandwich recipe is deeelicious. I used gluten-free bread, manchego cheese and soybean-oil-free mayonnaise, which is stupid expensive, but I’m allergic to soy and turns out almost all mayonnaise has soybean oil. Kudos to my friend Anna for finding the recipe! Don’t leave out the mint! I know it’s a small amount but you need it!
Quinoa Pizza Crust
Hilary found this recipe after Kara Goucher posted about it on instagram so obviously we had to try it. <3 Kara. We were, admittedly, a bit skeptical, but we had a girls’ night last night and made it. It was awesome. Crispy! Thin crust! Not full of crap! (Never mind the fact that I left out 4 ingredients, dumped it onto the cookie sheet, and put it in the oven for four minutes before I realized it. I just scraped it back into the Vitamix, added the remaining ingredients, dumped it on a fresh piece of parchment paper, and it STILL turned out great.) We topped it with pesto, manchego (noticing a trend here?), sundried tomatoes, roasted zucchini and red onion, and eggs. Oh, and Hilary and I each had like 1/2 glass of wine and were tipsy; we win in the lightweight category.
Cold brew coffee.
I finally tried cold-brew. I get the hype now. IT IS SO AMAZING. All caps necessary. It’s like an entirely different beverage than iced coffee, which I’m kind of meh on. I got this at Central Coffee. Katie wasn’t lying when you said it was the best in town. Not that I have a basis of comparison, but I find it hard to believe anything could be better. I didn’t add milk or anything to it so I have no clue how it was so milky delicious. (I don’t think Central adds anything??)
These pictures of Maizey.
She’s so stinkin’ cute. That’s all.
Have a great Saturday!
Any recipes you’re loving lately? Any awesome Fabletics finds we all need to try? Leave links! Bonus points if it’s to one of your own blog posts – I love seeing what you guys are up to!

atGreat list for a Saturday 🙂 I’m also obsessed with cold brew. It is becoming an expensive habit though! I need to figure out how to make it myself ASAP.

atCute tank! I’m giving that pizza crust a try this morning. I was going to try it for dinner last night, but with one kid at a sleepover, our remaining trio went to dinner and a movie. Luckily, it appears that you can’t over soak the quinoa – the crust tastes great! And that’s without nutritional yeast. I’ll definitely pick some up for the next time! I like how flexible this recipe seems to be. As for recipes I’m loving, we just tried a new recipe for fish tacos (from Real Simple, I think), and the fish was delicious! Even on a salad the next day, since we had way more left over than I expected!

atI left out the nutritional yeast too! So glad you enjoyed it!
Mmmm I love fish tacos!

atQuick follow up (I asked at the original blog post, too)… Was your crust super-sticky when you tried to flip it half way through? I had the same thing happen both times I tried to make it. Still tastes great, just a p-a-i-n to flip it when it’s so hot! Mabye I’ll try parchment paper next time.
Added the nutritional yeast this time. My daughter noticed the difference, and definitely liked it.
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atAck, sorry I didn’t answer! I was worried about flipping it but it turned out okay! Mine was sorta sticky but not too bad. But I did use parchment paper!

atYes, Central Coffee definitely has the best cold brew. I love that it’s on tap now. I find that it’s way stronger than regular iced coffee and some mornings, it’s so necessary! Welcome to Charlotte, I’m glad you’re liking it here!
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atHoly moly, it IS stronger! I had no idea until I was completely wired. ha! 🙂

atCentral Coffee is my favorite coffee spot in Charlotte. Their cold brew is incredible. I also recently tried Earl’s, which was really tasty too.
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atI want to go hang at Central Coffee sometime – I’ve only run in and out quickly after workouts! I’m dying to try Earl’s too!

atHello! What is the brand of soy-free mayo that you use? The only one I could find was Trader Joe’s reduced fat mayo, and I HATE REDUCED FAT mayo. Blech. Like you, I am also allergic to soy (and gluten and dairy), but sometimes I just eat it anyway because I want REAL mayo.
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atIt’s the Spectrum Canola Oil mayo. It’s like $7 (yikes!) but good!

ati kind of want to try fabletics! Most of my workout shirts at this point are race shirts, and i love new workout gear… I just cant spend money right now. I cant! Gotta get my life together ugh. And Maizey is so cute! I want a dog so badly, but our apartment complex doesnt allow them. Someday!
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atI LOVE Fabletics because their prices are so much better than other comparable brands! Your smart to put your budget first though! I know the feelign! Dogs are the best! You’ll love being a dog mom someday!!

atToo funny. That’s why I think you are the best.
I love Kara!

I think Maizey is adorable!
