Last weekend was so much fun! It kicked off with the Garth Brooks concert on Friday night. I was really nervous because I started to get a migraine on Friday afternoon ā insane headache, dizziness, sensitivity to light, the whole shebang. Luckily, a short nap, lots of ibuprofen, tons of water and some extra coffee kept it at bay. But nothing could have stopped me from seeing Garth!
Seeing Garth Brooks has been on my bucket list since I was a young teenager, so when he retired before I could see him I was devastated, and obviously thrilled when he announced he was touring again and coming so close to Winston-Salem. Needless to say, I was a wee bit excited for the concert. This is my super giddy face as I headed out.
The concert was better than I could have even imagined. He was such a great performer and sang all the old songs. And it was awesome that Trisha Yearwood performed too! I wish the concert had lasted longer than it did. I had so much fun with the group of friends I went with, and the night flew by.
Who is on your bucket list to see in concert? Iād still love to see Coldplay and Tegan & Sara

atI would love to see Maroon 5 in concert. I actually saw them in 2003 when they opened for Matchbox 20, and they weren’t the huge success they are now, but I think they would put on an amazing show as the headliner!
Looks like you had a great time!!

atGo figure right? I had to wikipedia him to see if he was promoting an album. Truth be told, I won two tickets with SiriusXM and wouldn’t have gone otherwise. But in the end we had a blast, singing along to oldies and witnessing Chris Brown make an appearance!

atLike you, Garth has been on my bucket list since I was a teen, & I still have yet to get to one of his concerts. Tried getting tix when he was in Vegas, but he was on a break while we were there. š If he comes anywhere near me, I won’t hesitate to go! I would have freaked when those migraine symptoms started! Glad you got to go.

atGarth was on my bucket list too! We just went to see him in Jacksonville and it was the best. I guess now I have to put a new concert on my bucket list.

atTegan and Sara are hilarious live. It is basically a comedy show with a really great soundtrack š Definitely catch them if they are coming near you…or just Youtube their stage banter!

atTerry- have been reading your blog for a while now. Found it on a random google search. I am from Winston and was also at the concert!!! It was amazing. I have been waiting for 16 years for Garth to tour again. It was awesome. I am pretty sure that I can see myself (one of the only people wearing a cowboy hat) and my husband in one of your picture. Very cool!!
