How to start running and actually enjoy it (with fewer walk breaks and injuries)
I’ve been running for over 20 years and I vividly remember the first time I ran more than five miles – I was 15. Since then, I have run over 50 races, including the Boston Marathon twice. I never thought I’d be able to qualify for Boston, let alone set a personal record there. Running has been my constant through all the changes in my life. From working in Corporate America, moving across the country, getting engaged and married, working 80 hours a week while planning to leave Corporate America, transitioning to running my own business full-time, coping with the loss of my fur baby, and even the day I went to the hospital to have my son. Now, I’m returning to running postpartum, which has been a journey on its own!
Running keeps me sane, helps me manage anxiety and stress, helps me process hard things, makes me a better wife and mom, and brings me SO much joy.
I firmly believe running can change lives, so I want to help YOU start running. And I want you to love it as much as I do!
For the last few years, I’ve been working on packaging up all of my running knowledge and lessons (many that I learned the hard way) that helped me learn to love running and keep running consistently for 20+ years. I’ve even improved dramatically along the way, shaving 11 minutes off my 5K, 30 minutes off my half marathon time, and nearly an hour off my marathon.
In The Rookie Runner Program, I walk you through what you need to know about shoes, starting to run from scratch (even if you’ve never run more than 30 seconds), how to warm up and cool down, what to eat before, during and after a run, how to get faster and increase your mileage, and MUCH more.
I’ll teach you how to start running and actually enjoy it (with fewer walk breaks and injuries).
I don’t think downloading a training plan off the internet is good enough. At least it wasn’t good enough for me. I needed more knowledge, more confidence, and a lot more support from someone who knew what they were doing.
If any of these sound like you or they’re questions you have, it’s a good fit.
If you’ve thought of any of these, my online running course — The Rookie Runner Program — is for you. If you think ALL of these, you need this course.

“The Rookie Runner Program is great! I used to be a runner but it’s been years and the course has helped me make a plan to get started again from just walking all the way up to running a half marathon again. It’s complete with learning what gear/shoes I’ll need to warmups/stretching to nutrition. The courses are easy to watch and not too long that I could watch them at my leisure without feeling like it was taking too much of my day. The Rookie Runner Program has gotten me motivated and excited to run again!” – Alissa, Colorado
