Today I’m sharing a gift guide for your best friend! I’m a big believer that gifts — whether for Christmas, birthdays or something else — shouldn’t be too practical. I like finding gifts that the person wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves, something they’ll love but probably wouldn’t justify buying. Shopping for your best friend (or girlfriend, for you male readers out there) is a perfect time to spoil. It doesn’t have to involve a lot of money, but a little thoughtfulness goes a long way.
Also, quick note – My Holiday Sales page is updated with Cyber Monday deals! And I just updated the Holiday Favorites page with some fun things too.
Something personalized, like an initial necklace or monogram necklace, shows that you thought ahead, long enough to custom order. Mark & Graham also has a ton of fun monogrammed gifts; I especially like the monogrammed gloves.
Something she can use daily, like a super cute coffee mug, shows that you know her routine. Anthropologie has a super cute selection of mugs. This one is adorable and this is a classic. A home state mug is great too. I have this one, but I love this too! Or, keeping with the home theme, I LOVE this framed foil-pressed map. (Tip: The Whitewashed Herringbone frame is really nice; I’ve ordered that with the prints I’ve gotten from Minted in the past and I love it.)
Something beautiful, like a purse, is practical and spoils at the same time (because almost every girl I know always wants more purses). Nordstrom has the most options. When in doubt, go for a Kate Spade or Tory Burch — they have classic styles and are high quality. This is lovely.
Something cozy, like slippers or PJs or fun glittens (glove mittens!), is always nice in the cold months. J.Crew and J.Crew Factory are my go-to’s for those.
Something funny, like this sweater or these socks, will definitely make her smile. I also think an umbrella is a really fun gift. My friend Courtney got me a nice one a few years ago and I LOVE it.
Happy Shopping!
