Last Week’s Workouts + Boone Weekend Getaway

Happy Monday! I spent last weekend in Boone with Tommy and his parents. It is seriously gorgeous up there this time of year with the leaves changing colors and the cool, crisp air. Saturday it was drizzly and overcast all day, so we took it easy and just relaxed.

We opened a bottle of wine one night – I loved the label and the wine was really great, which I suppose is the important part. 😉 I definitely need to track this down again. (I love that Tommy is practicing his golf swing inside – cracks me up! 🙂 )

Sunday had better weather so we were able to get out a bit more. It was a short getaway, but I was able to completely unwind. I absolutely love living in North Carolina and I’m pretty sure Boone is my favorite place in this state, so I feel really lucky that Tommy is from there and we always have an excuse to visit.

Alright, let’s get to last week’s workouts!

M – Top Tier Bootcamp

T – CrossFit

W – 5 mile run, 8:22 pace

Th – CrossFit

F – CrossFit

S – rest

S – rest

My goal to better balance CrossFit and running starts going forward. 🙂 I actually ran this morning even though it was a  “designated” CrossFit day – my shoulder/right corner of my chest is still feeling just a little off so I don’t want to aggravate it any further by doing anything upper body, and the WOD had pull-ups (Fran). I felt kind of sluggish and clunky on my run, but I’m so happy I ran. It was a gorgeous morning and it just helped me feel more myself. I drove to my old neighborhood to run which is beautiful, and I was so happy the entire time I was running.

Hope your week is off to a great start!
