Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve had a had a nice weekend! It’s nice to be home after nearly a week away. I spent my weekend painting! I kept putting off painting, unsure of how long I’d be in this house, but after three years I just went for it. (My decision was made easier by the fact that John offered to help me.)
I painted my room a dark gray and swapped out some of the pictures and wall accents for ones that better matched the new color. It feels so cozy in there! In the office, I painted a navy accent wall and moved in pictures from other rooms that really popped against the color. All the walls were just a cream color before.
Today was filled with putting the rooms back together, cleaning up, doing laundry and meeting Leslie Ann for a mani/pedi. Just a good, productive day! I also got some fun news today – my brother and his wife had their baby! She is still unnamed, but she’s gorgeous. 🙂 Congrats Jesse & Ash! Can’t wait to meet her. This is my 15th niece/nephew (I think??). ha!
Last week’s workouts were pretty good. I was in the mountains most of the week but visited the cute little YMCA up there. Since I’ve been home, I haven’t really felt like working out. I took Thursday and Friday as a rest day and counting painting as a workout yesterday. I finally made myself workout today and went to Pure Barre. It was a fantastic workout, as usual.
S – hiked up a ski slope 🙂
M – 4 mile interval run + full body circuit training/weights
T – 1 mile run + yoga during my visit to the Westglow Spa
W – 5 mile run + 2-ish mile hike at Linville Falls (I’ll share pictures soon – gorgeous!)
Th – rest day
F – rest day
S – painting
Have a great week! I start my new job tomorrow–wish me luck! 🙂

atIt definitely sounds like a fun week! I personally like to spend my free days in mountains pursuing my love for cooking and photography. Loved the fact that you took time for rest day 🙂 I think it is the most important aspect of planning! Thanks sharing.
