Happy Easter friends! I started my day by sleeping in until 8. Well, my body tried to wake up at 6 and 7 but I told it to stay in bed. It was glorious. Last night John and I went to a Better Than Ezra concert with my friend Meg in downtown Winston-Salem and was exhausted by the time I got home, even though it was only 10 p.m.! It was a free concert after a cycling competition in town and was so much fun! It totally took me back to middle school and high school hearing them play.
This morning John, Maizey and I walked down to Camino Bakery for some tasty hot beverages (Americano for me, green tea for John, lots of sniffs for Maize). John went for a run while I did a Nike Training Club workout. NTC is an app on the iPhone and the workouts are great. They have celebrity athlete workouts too, which is cool. I worked out with Paula Radcliffe this morning. 🙂
It was only 15 minutes but I was huffing and puffing. Operation Strengthen Glutes and Hamstrings is on! After the NTC workout, I did a few sets of bicep curls, tricep kickbacks and overhead shoulder presses and finished with about 6 minutes of ab work. I’m a little trembly and shaky (but it may just be the Americano! 😉 )
I’m about to eat some lunch (lentil soup that my neighbor made. it’s the best!)). I’ll have some Weekender links for you later this afternoon!
What music/bands did you love in high school? I loved Ben Folds, Guster, Barenaked Ladies, Collective Soul, Vertical Horizon and of course, lots of country music. 🙂

atYesyesyes! Strengthen those glutes and hamstrings–the weakest muscle groups of too many runners–to prevent injuries!
