A quick weekend recap, my favorite links from the week, and my favorite outfits (including the cutest Vince Camuto over-the-knee boots!).
Despite the three-day weekend, the weekend flew by. I went to Asheville Thursday night for a concert (Tegan & Sara!) with my friend Hilary, and then came back to Winston on Friday afternoon after brunch and a little shopping. The rest of the weekend at home was very low key, which was very nice.
The concert was at The Orange Peel which is a really cool venue. I’ve never noticed lighting so much as a show – it was awesome.
Alright, onto my favorite links & favorite outfits from the last week!

- This pains my teenage heart (not that I was allowed to watch 90210).
- I love this so much. Don’t be turned off that it’s a Barbie video.

This was my 50 Shades of Gray outfit. 🙂 I love these gray Sloan pants from Banana Republic. They fit beautifully and are a bit longer than some of their summer colors, which is nice with cooler fall and winter temperatures. You really can’t go wrong with Sloan pants, period. I think I’ve collected 8+ colors over the past 4-5 years; they last forever!

I absolutely love this poncho. It’s sold out from Asos, but this one from Nordstrom looks almost identical (and it’s on sale!).

I love love love these knee-high boots. They’re super comfy thanks to the block heel and I feel like they take an average outfit and make it special. I get so many compliments on them! I was scared of the over-the-knee boot trend, but they’re actually much more flattering than I was expecting! Plus, they’re on sale!

atLove your style! Funny thing; I’ve been sold on the Sloan pants through seeing the many pairs you have and was determined to get a pair the last time that they were on sale at BR. I brought two sizes into the dressing room and they both had a really weird fit on me. Upon asking the sales lady about the pants and showing her how they fit, she was on a mission to make them work for me-but to no avail! She said they usually do flatter everyone-so I’m one of the unlucky few who cannot enjoy those lovely pants?

atoh no!!! What was wrong with the fit? Could you pin point it? J.Crew Martie pants are another fave that fit a little differently. Maybe try those? Lots of colors too! http://rstyle.me/n/b58ur54k3w

atWhat size do you wear in the Regent blazer? The reviews say the arms are small – not good for us lifters.

atHi! I have a 0P. It’s snug/fitted but I don’t think it’s too tight. Maybe size up?

atI love those over the knee boots! I’ve always wanted a pair but they were always a little too… not quite right . Now that they finally are I live in Florida and can’t quite justify the money for boots I can wear 3 times a year.
