Have you guys heard of Dishcrawl? It’s a relatively new concept in Winston-Salem, but I think they’ve been happening around the country for a while. You restaurant hop, going to a different spot for different plates, getting to sample food that the chefs prepare just for the event.
I’ve always wanted to go but with my dietary restrictions (gluten-free and dairy-free), it just wasn’t worth the money. But they are doing a Paleo Dishcrawl in Winston-Salem next month! I’m so freaking exciting.
There are limited spots available (only 16 left). But Kristi of Triad Foodies, another local blog, is the Winston-Salem ambassador for Dishcrawl and offered to give away a ticket to one of my readers – thanks Kristi! So, if you you’re in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point (or even if you want to drive from any other town!), enter to win a free ticket to the first-ever Winston-Salem Paleo Dishcrawl! We’ll have a blast. 🙂
To enter, tell me your favorite thing about North Carolina.

atMy favorite thing about North Carolina. OUCH — just one thing? Gosh I love so many. I am a Texas girl that has fallen in LOVE with this state. If my husband ever moves me again it will be kicking and screaming. After spending 6 years near Lake Norman (Charlotte) we moved to the Triad. My favorite thing currently is Winston-Salem and all of it’s charm. I have been Paleo since 2008 and date nights consist of Jason’s Deli for my husband and I. We would LOVE to paleo dish crawl!!!!!

atMy favorite thing about North Carolina has to be the beach. I would love to say that it is how confused NC seems to be about its position in the South or the weather, but really and truly I love NC for the beach. I’ve been to a few other beaches throughout the U.S. and I feel like none of them have the home-iness that our beaches seem to have. I know that our water isn’t the clearest and our sand isn’t the finest, but there is a tranquility at many of the NC beaches that is captivating and serene (and there are not as many rocks to keep us from enjoying those waves). And we haven’t even started talking about the BEAUTIFUL out banks or the wonderful pirate filled history that surrounds them. =) Yes, the beach has to be my favorite part of NC. It is the part that I will miss dearly if I ever leave.

atThis is such a great idea! Favorite thing about North Carolina, I’d have to say, is the coast. It doesn’t get much better than that. My family vacationed at Florida beaches growing up, and we were seriously missing out!

atThe people, first and foremost! That said, I really do love the more mild climate than my New England hometown, but appreciate that we still get all four seasons 🙂
