I love Raffaldini Vineyards; I think it’s one of the prettiest vineyards in North Carolina and it’s certainly one of my favorites NC wines to drink. Most NC wines are, well, not great, but I really enjoy Raffaldini’s.I go to their Italian Festival every year with my dear friend Debbie which is another reason Raffaldini has a special place in my heart. So I’m really excited that I get to participate in a very cool event and cause with them.
Every year, Raffaldini Vineyards hosts a Pino Vino Wine Label Competition to help raise awareness and funds to benefit rescue pets and the organizations that help them find loving homes. To enter, you just have to submit a photo of your furry family member with the story of how he/she came into your life. A panel of judges – which includes me!!! – helps narrow down the entrants and then vote on a final winner. The winning dog will have their cute face featured on a wine label! And, of course, a portion of wine sales will benefit local animal rescue shelters. (You don’t have to live in North Carolina to enter!)
You guys know I love dogs so I’m thrilled I get to participate in such a fun event with a wonderful cause.
It’s simple to enter: Just email your doggy’s photo and story to [email protected]Β
- Include your dog’s name and back story in 50 words or less!
- Be sure your email subject line is “Wine Label.”
- Be sure to include your name and contact information.

atTeri, we just came across this contest and are SO excited to enter our pooch, Gemma (the “Bean”). My husband is a Wilkes County local and we’re wine nuts who love the local vineyards. We’d love to have our critter featured on a bottle. Such a great cause and a great opportunity–thanks for supporting and being a part of it!

atI just submitted my chocolate lab, Layla. I didn’t realize how much of her story I wanted to tell and had the HARDEST time narrowing it down to 50 words!

atI know, 50 words is SO short. I actually emailed them to ask if that was correct and it is!

atWill the picture we send in be the photo on the bottle or will there be a professional picture taken?
Teri [a foodie stays fit]
atI’m assuming it’s the picture you send in but I’ll check with them!

atI can’t believe I’m only just now hearing of this! I think I entered just in time! π
Pardo is a chiweenie and our special international rescue… from over 1,000 miles away in Mexico! I can’t imagine our lives without him. I could go on and on, but oh, that 50 word limit was tough!
Good luck to all the doggies! π
