Happy Friday! This week I’m sharing some of favorite finds from Lilly Pulitzer + some of my recent outfits. P.S. don’t you love my hair in these first photos? 😉 I was in vacation mode so don’t mind me – ha!
When I was in Palm Beach, Beautycounter provided a $100 resort credit for food, spa treatments, shopping, whatever. They had a Lilly Pulitzer store and y’all know I love some Lilly. Although, it’s kind of ironic because I had never heard of it before I moved to the South, and at first, I hated it. Now I love all the colors and I especially love how it fits. It’s so flattering, especially on more muscular frames which really surprised me. (I often buy Lilly Pulitzer at Nordstrom but the prices are almost always the same so it doesn’t really matter.)
Here’s what I tried on at the store in Palm Beach! I bought the first two and also bought two colors of this reversible tank.
I love this dress. The v-neck with the zipper is such a cool and athletic touch to such a feminine piece, which makes it easy to dress up or down. It is SO soft, AND it has built in lingerie straps to keep your bra up. Why don’t ALL dresses and tops have that? (I often have my seamstress add them in to my clothes!)
This dress is uh-may-zing. I’ve been eyeing a version of it for years and finally got it. It’s a shift dress so again, it works well for day and night. I love the embroidery, especially in that to-die-for gold. The neckline is so flattering– not too low, but low enough. You can get this dress on Nordstrom, linked here.
I am SO sad that this dress isn’t available anymore, but I found a similar option, also in hot pink, also Lilly P. I linked it here. I was so sad this one didn’t fit; it was just a tad too tight through the rib cage and chest.
This gem was too big but man I loved the pattern!!! I may need to order it online since it IS in my size there.
Okay, moving on from the Lilly dresses to other recent outfits! I always get compliments on this dress, and I loved wearing it on the yacht cruise. The color is great, the cut is so flattering and it’s insanely comfortable. My sleeveless version is sold out, but brand that makes it now has a cap sleeved version which I also love. While I went down the rabbit hole finding a similar green dress, I found this cocktail version too. I wants it.
I’ve been wearing kind of the same rotation lately. Jeans, white sneakers, Patagonia. And I mean, if I add a vest or change my hat, no one really notices that I’m basically wearing the same thing over and over, right? 😉
Patagonia Los Gatos Vest – I should have sized up in this. My usual XS is a little snug.
Oh look, I branched out and wore something else. 😉
And again with the Patagonia jacket. I should just get rid of the rest of the jackets that I own. 😉 A note on this MCM purse: it was a splurge I got for myself when I hit a goal with my business and I’m in love. It’s the first really structured bag I’ve gotten (I tend to go for slouchy/hobo purses) but I LOVE it. Mine is the medium version, but a small version is on sale. This one is closer in size to mine and a nearly identical style, but uh, that one is VERY pricey.
Not much variety in casual outfits, but I’m all for pieces that are versatile and classic rather than having a giant wardrobe! And hey, the Lilly dresses are fun! I can’t wait to go back to Palm Beach with Tommy next month so I can wear them!! 🙂
How do YOU feel about Lilly Pulitzer?? I feel like it’s a super polarizing brand. 🙂
