Hi friends! I just realized it’s been a week since I last blogged! Time flies when you’re working/having fun/running/not working out/feeling sick/having visitors/adjusting to daylight savings!

This past weekend, I had a friend visiting from London! We met when we were both working at Goldman Sachs and they had all us newbies convene in New York City. He was visiting the states and since he was in my neck of the woods, he drove down for a visit.

It was so fun to see him and show him around my little town. While playing tour guide, I stumbled upon some gems in my very own town that I didn’t know existed! I love when that happens.

    1. Sounds like a busy week! Loooove your blazer in that pic, so cute! I love how close so many things are to southeast PA… the beach, the mountains, Philly, NYC, Baltimore, DC, State College (aka PSU)… I love it!

    2. Girl, a friend from London? Does he talk like Prince Harry? He can give me a shout, if that’s the case. I love the Huffington Post health section. I’ve read so many fantastic articles about health and fitness. There was another recent article about how exercise actually alters your DNA (in a good way!). They have sources. I live in Charleston, SC. Best things about where I live…first and foremost, the weather. From about April to October, you can play on the beach all day, every day. And most winters, this one in particular, the weather is still fantastic. Almost every weekend this year was dry, sunny, and between 50 and 65°. Of course, right now I’m positive and upbeat. Come July, it will be sweltering hot and miserable. But it’s okay. That’s why we have the beach!

    3. I’m from ND, and while I hate how cold and snowy it can get in the winter, people are generally happier here because of the open spaces and because most people have pretty strong family connections. My baby nephews live just a few blocks away from me, and both my husband’s and my families live within 100 miles.

And, this winter we’ve actually only had one minor storm, so I can’t complain too much!

    4. That was a really interesting article, thanks for sharing! I’m not sure whether it makes me particularly happier or less stressed when I’m eating a vegetarian diet (I don’t eat any meat or fish when I’m at uni but do when I’m at home) but I definitely feel better in myself and healthier so maybe that’s the same.

Sounds like a great weekend 🙂 I love my hometown, I like that it is quite small and the terrain is flat (sounds silly but trust me it helps so much with my condition!), the town is so pretty, I love the market and I love that there are so many parks and green spaces 🙂
