The Weekender

Keep those entries for the Lipton Iced Tea giveaway coming. And while you’re at it, send me some sun. Of course since I asked for summery activities, I woke up to completely cloudy skies today. At least it’s warm enough to do my blogging outside!

The Weekender

  • Las week I met up with Miriam from Bellaspire last week (and I met her sweet new puppy Baker!), and she brought me some of the Fitnessista’s Amazeballs. I then proceeded to make three batches today.

[I stole this picture off Miriam’s blog. Thanks girl!]

  • Granted this article is biased since it’s written by the Chief Science Offiicer of NuVal, but I think he makes good points. It’s ridiculous that people are complaining about the food ratings of NuVal. Heaven forbid people actually get educated on their food choices.
  • I love this calendar that Meghan has with a daily prompt. It would be so helpful for journalling! (Side note: Yesterday was Meghan’s baby shower. She’s insanely cute pregnant.)

[I believe her sister took this picture. Thanks for letting me steal it.]

The Week in Fitness

M- 30 minutes Stairclimber

T – Vinyasa yoga

W – 30 min. stairclimber + strength training 30 min.

Th – Vinyasa yoga

F – rest

S – run 3 miles (treadmill) + 20 min stairclimber

BTW, Happy Mother’s Day to all your mothers out there! Especially my own wonderful mom! She raised 6 kids, including 5 boys. Luckily she was blessed with an easy child as her last one. 😉 She really is an incredibly hard-working, caring woman! Plus she is super fit (she’s run 2 marathons in the past 2 years plus tons of half marathons) and absolutely beautiful. I guarantee you’d never correctly guess her age. I love you so much Mom!

Awww Happy mothers day to your mommy! I was SO thankful to get to go home to Ohio and spend the weekend with my mom!! She’s such an amazing mommy 🙂 I hope you had fun with yours!

  • Jack Hutcheon

The first five boys were easy, the last kid is what put her mothering skills to the test. Luckily the 5 boys were easy so that she had the strength and fortitude to raise a girl at the end.

Your mom is so pretty! Oh man, if you can make those 3 batches of amazeballs last more than 2 days I will be impressed. I don’t have enough self control to make more than one batch at a time 😉

Your momma is just the cutest! And it’s not hard to figure out where you get your genes from!!

And yes, that calendar is the greatest. I have so many pages torn off as prompts to blog or journal to that I can’t keep up. (And if you haven’t read the book it goes with – The Happiness Project – I *highly* recommend!) Thanks for coming on Saturday to celebrate with me and baby boy! xoxo
