The Weekender

I have been terrible at doing the Weekender lately, so kudos to Colleen for telling me on my Facebook page that she missed it! It gave me a kick in the pants to get back in the habit! I regularly share articles and other blog posts on my Facebook page so be sure to follow me there for little doses of the Weekender throughout the week.

Um, I just noticed a trend in my links. Apparently I‘m feeling like I have a lot to get done and not enough time. ha!

Weekend Happenings

Tommy and I went on a date Friday night to Di Lisio’s. It has a cozy atmosphere but the food wasn’t anything to write home about. The company was great though! 😉

Hilary came up from Charlotte for a visit on Saturday! We ate at The Porch (highly recommend the cucumber mint margarita), browsed through Reynolda Village (I want everything at Monkee’s), visited Camino (of course), and attempted to get a selfie with Maizey (she’s the worst).

And now I’m about to go nuts on my to-do list! Wish me luck!

Leave a comment and tell me your #1 productivity hack. Here’s mine: I write a list of EVERYTHING I need to do (I keep a list for work tasks and a list for personal tasks) and add to it throughout the day. And the end of everyday, I identify the top 3-5 things that HAVE to get done the next day and prioritize those. And then I repeat the process everyday!

I am BIG on list taking. And I also prioritize the list! I just love being able to physically check things off when I’m done. ?

Meal planning has been a time and budget saver for me. I make sure I have quick/easy plans for busy nights, and fill in the rest of the weeks’ meals around that. Then I make one major shopping trip each week rather than several small ones. We also eat out less often (which, oddly, takes more time – and money – than a quick, homemade meal).

I do my meal planning the exact same way! And I’m with you – it saves money and is faster to make something simple at home. Plus, it’s healthier! (Never mind that I just posted a pic on instagram of Teeter Thai… ha!)

Loving every one of these links! Thanks
Also – totally agree on making to-do lists just for the satisfaction of crossing things off. I will put totally mundane things (ie – shower, eat, etc) just to cross them off. Ha!
