The Weekender + Last Week’s Workouts

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope all you mothers–moms of humans, moms to be, or moms of furry ones– have a wonderful day. I love being a dog mom!

I’m so grateful for my wonderful mom who is endlessly supportive and loving. She’s also so funny. I love all the fun things she did for me as a kid like waking me up singing goofy songs, and writing notes on my lunches, even when I was in high school. She still sends me funny notes with pictures drawn on them. I love it. 🙂 I love you so much mom!

I also love this gem of a family photo my brother posted on Facebook earlier today.

Alright onto the Weekender! Here are the links I liked this week.

11 Reasons Your’e Not Losing Belly Fat

The most popular Trader Joe products of 2013. I need to try the Rosemary Marcona almonds (I LOVE marcona almonds and I had no idea TJ’s carried them), cocoa almond butter and the chili lime chicken burgers (hopefully they’re gluten-free!). I haven’t really liked TJ’s almond butter but I haven’t seen the salted version they feature in the article. I can attest the dark chocolate caramels are amazing; the ones with sea salt on them are even better. I want to try the chocolate covered orange sticks too; I love those as a kid when we’d get boxes at Christmas. There, I ruined the surprise by telling you about half of what’s on the list.

Find your perfect match with online dating…for a pet. 🙂

Holy moly I want to eat these grain-free, dairy-free cinnamon rolls

Strawberry Lemon Curd Doughtnuts. I will take a dozen please.

Really? Towns with diehard fashionistas…Winston-Salem is #1??? I blame (or give credit to?) WFU for this. (A couple readers shared this with me…thanks!)

Last week’s workouts:

S – 15 mile run, 8:03 pace (here’s what went well)

M – Lunges & Hamstring Curls

T – 5.6 miles, Intervals (here’s the workout)

W – 5 miles, 7:42 pace

Th – Pure Barre

F – 4.2 mile run, 8:24 pace

S – 8 mile treadmill run, 8 minute pace (including 1 mile warm-up and cool-down)

Tell me what you love most about your mom!

Are you a dog mom, cat mom, mom-to-be, human mom or a combo of any of those?

Your Mother looks young, and fantastic (for having 6 kids!). By the way, did you end up getting any white jeans after?

I know she really does look amazing!

I haven’t bought white jeans yet; I prioritized some other items for my May shopping budget. But I’m hoping to in June!
