The Weekender: Favorite Links + Current Sales

Happy Sunday! If you get my email newsletter, you know that my laptop suddenly died last week. Hence, I’m slow to respond to emails and blogging is a bit behind too. But, that okay – that’s life! I’m currently using Tommy’s laptop to catch up on some things, and planning to do something active (easy run or the driving range) once I finish. I’m feel exhausted and worn out, but I’m blaming the fact that I had wine the past two nights and I RARELY drink. Or, you know, it could just be life catching up to me. It’s been a few crazy months. So many good things, but also exhausting in many ways. I’ve been crashed on the couch for about 3 hours, which has been pretty nice. Drizzly gray days are good for that. And when all else fails to give me energy, I pop on some lipstick and curl my hair and fake it ’til I make it.

Loved reading this morning routine, especially this part: In some weird, paradoxical way, spending the first part of each morning focusing on decidedly transcendental topics actually keeps me grounded during the rest of the day. It reminds me that 95 percent of the things I’m going to instinctively want to flip my lid about during the day ahead just aren’t that big of a deal.

I was surprised to see the DNF advice for marathon training, but then again that makes a lot of sense. Why waste energy and potentially injure yourself if you know you won’t meet your goal? Great links!

I’m positive it’s mentioned in another post, but do you wear No. 2 or 3 Dew Skin? I have pretty fair skin but I use the second to lightest in my current BB Cream and feel like 3 might be necessary for the summer.

Also, those sentiments about the idea of drinking being better than actual drinking? Spot. On.

LOL you sound like me. Sometimes I go a few weeks where i have 2-3 glasses/week. Sometimes I go 5 months without an ounce of alcohol and a glass of wine makes me the life of the party and then I’m pooped. I have zero alcohol tolerance! haha.
