Skin Care Review: Simone France

Like many of you bloggers, I get offered products to review by many companies. I don’t accept even half of what is offered to me because of various reasons (time, quality, interest, lifestyle, diet preferences, etc.) but once in a while I get offered products that I’m really excited about. Like the 2 below….

Simone France Skin Care

Simone France is a skin care line that preaches the importance using their products in a very specific – and pretty unusual – order (e.g. in the AM, apply moisturizer before you apply cleanser). mail-1I’ve used these products for 2 days and love it so far. I can tell the products are very gentle, but my skin feels very clean, soft and moisturized. And I was blown away by how short and readable the ingredient lists are in each product! Double score. I can’t wait to see how my skin looks after using this for a few weeks.

I’ve never been one to drop more than $10 on any skin care product. But I think that might change after using this. Seriously. Read more on their website about why their products and their process are different. Pretty interesting stuff.

Manna Bread

I might be the last health blogger to try Manna Bread. I’ve always wanted to but am always drawn to my tried-and-true Ezekiel English Muffins. Plus, the price tag on Manna is kind of steep. (Not to say that Ezekiel products are cheap!)

So when Manna offered to send me a box of their products to try, I was thrilled. It arrived today and I tried the Bavarian Rye Sourdough. It was delicious. The texture is different than typical bread but I really liked it. Plus the nutrition stats are awesome! More info to come as I try the others. (And there just might be a Manna Bread giveaway in your future!)mail-2

How much do you typically spend on face wash/face lotion/skin care stuff?

If you’re a blogger, what’s been your favorite product sent to you? I LOVE my FiveBamboo dresses, leggings, and tops. I need to do a full review for you guys. I also really like Alo workout apparel (reviewed here). If you’re not a blogger, what type of reviews do you enjoy reading most? Food? Regular clothes? Workout clothes? Beauty?

Blogging is not my full-time gig, but running a blog isn't free. I pay for blog theme updates, hosting fees, domain fees, and other expenses to keep it up, functioning and hacker-free.

To help keep my blog accessible and free, I include affiliate links from time to time and receive a small percentage of purchases you make. I don't link to products that I wouldn't personally buy, so rest assured I won't refer you to crap! :)

Mmm… I love good skin products. I don’t know why MMm.. goes with that but it just seems like it does. 🙂 I just bought some origins moisturizer that was spendy, but I know the ingredients and the quality are worth it to keep my face fresh and happy.

I like products to review that are : a) snack food I enjoy eating or b) exercise equipment or clothing that are useful/attractive. I also think it’s important to accept items that go along with your blog mission, personal interests or beliefs.

I so wish I had a blog in while I lived in the US. I never get any free stuff sent to me in Trinidad. I guess I can live vicariously through you and everyone else scoring lots of free stuff! 🙂 Never heard of Mana bread before…hmmm. I just discovered Ezekiel english muffins……I don’t think I will ever eat another kind again. WOW they are amazing – I don’t care how much they cost!

I’m a blogger in the UK, bit of a newbie – my blog is still a baby at 5 months old but I’m loving it. I would also love to be sent freebies to review…how can I make that happen?!

  • Chelcie @ Chelcie's Food Files

I don’t like to spend a lot of money on skin care (mainly because I’m a cheap college student hah) but I LOVE Olay products, my mom got me hooked on them and they have always been my favorite

  • Alycia

I love hearing about new skin care products and lines, thanks for the review! I’m too cheap to go out and buy something that I may or may not like, so its always good to hear it from someone first hand.

I love reviews on pretty much everything! Again, I’m too cheap to buy “new” things, so I really want to know how good they are before I put my money in to them. 😉

I am so cheap with my skincare routine! I use dial soap and the moisturizer that I smear all over my baby. I used to spend on all sorts of expensive things, but honestly, my skin looks better when I use less!

And I love getting sent food – I think my favorite was the Newman’s Own package – I had snacks for months!

I would say my favorite would have to be cheese. I love cheese so that is by far my favorite thing to receive. I will admit I’ve spent a lot on skin care products. I’m a sucker for things I find at sephora and when I very occasionally (not often enough) get facials and then I find myself always buying stuff there too. But honestly I think I love boring old Aveeno products the best. I have extremely sensitive skin that is also dry and acne prone (ugh, the worst combo) so I need something that is oil free, moisturizing, and sensitive and it fits the bill.
